London, Feb 5 : Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner romance with Danish royal Caroline Luel-Brockdorff has ended seven weeks after their baby’s birth.
Caroline, who is worth 400 million pounds, is 13 years senior to Niclas.
“The birth of a child can put a strain on any relationship, but there seems to have been more pressure on them both recently in the last couple of weeks. They decided to go their separate ways now rather than have a messy divorce in future.
“It was a whirlwind romance and they were madly in love - perhaps they did realise in the end they were poles apart in age and outlook,” The Sun quoted a friend, as saying.
“Nowadays, many young women regret having tattoos, though admittedly most are not on the same social scale as Caroline. She had his name done on her wrist to show her devotion. They will of course remain in close contact because of the child,” the pal said.
Nicklas’ relationship with London-based Caroline emerged 16 months ago when they were spotted strolling in Hyde Park.
Caroline’s wealth was boosted by a divorce pay-off from banker husband Rory Fleming - cousin of James Bond creator Ian.
She already had two kids, Alexander, seven, and Josephine, four.
Caroline, 36, became a reality TV star in Denmark when she was filmed renovating her family castle. (ANI)
