‘Pak to rely on both spin, pace to take on England in upcoming UAE series’

‘Pak to rely on both spin, pace to take on England in upcoming UAE series’ Lahore, Jan 5 : Pakistan's interim cricket coach Mohsin Khan has said the team will rely on a combination of both pace and spin instead of merely banking on spinners to take on England in the upcoming series in the United Arab Emirates.

But he admitted that batsmen from both sides would have to cope with more pressure in the forthcoming series, as compared to bowlers.

"We are trying to strengthen our top order as well as the lower order. England has a good team combination whilst the Pakistani team lacks experience but, it is a very talented side which is heading in the right direction. My task is to make players mentally tough by transferring my cricket experience and skills on to the youngsters in the squad," PakPassion. net quoted Mohsin, as saying.

"Since the last 2 series players are responding well and I am very satisfied with the team progress and am working hard with the players to help them reach the 100% mark," he added.

Responding to a question regarding the fitness of the bowlers especially Junaid Khan and Umar Gul, he said that "a fast bowler rarely bowls a spell of 10 overs and if a bowler wasn''t bowling long spells it didn't mean that he is not fully fit."

Mohsin also lauded Pakistan skipper skipper Misbah- ul- Haq saying he is "a very wise captain and has led the way admirably."(ANI)
