Basseterre, June 16 :Opener Hashim Amla struck a brilliant century before Imran Tahir bagged a seven-wicket haul as South Africa crushed West Indies by 139 runs in the sixth ODI of the tri-nation series at Warner Park in St. Kitts on Thursday.

Put in to bat first, Amla smashed thirteen boundaries in his 110-run knock and shared a huge opening stand of 182 runs with Quinton de Kock (71) to strengthen their side to a score of 343 runs in their stipulated 50 overs.

Meanwhile, Faf du Plessis (unbeaten at 73) and Chris Morris (40) were other notable figures for South Africa.

Melbourne, Mar. 05 : Australia swashbuckling batsman Aaron Finch has called on his side to play 'smarter' cricket when facing spinners, following their three-wicket loss to South Africa in the opening Twenty20 of the three- match series in Durban.

Despite making a solid start, Australia failed to sustain momentum as the tourists were reeling at 104 for six in the 13.2 overs, thanks to an incisive spell from South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir (3-21) and frugal fast bowling in the middle overs.

Melbourne, March. 2 : Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has warned his side to be wary of South Africa leg-spinner Imran Tahir in the upcoming T20 series between the two sides ahead of World T20 in India.

Describing Tahir as an 'experienced' player, Maxwell said the former is an outstanding bowler and that his side have to perform well against him.

The 27-year-old had played against the spinner while he was with Delhi Daredevils in the last year's Indian Premier League (IPL).
