Athens- Otto Rehhagel will remain Greece coach despite a poor Euro 2008 campaign, the nation's football supremo Vassilis Gagatsis told Greek radio on Wednesday.
"There has been and there is no issue Rehhagel. He stays," Gagatsis said after a meeting with the German coach.
Rehhagel led Greece to a surprise Euro 2004 title but the team crashed out of Euro 2008 after defeats against Sweden, Russia and later champions Spain in the group stage.
Rehhagel is said to have agreed on the hiring of an assistant coach as part of an expanded coaching staff, news reports said. (dpa)
