Madrid- Barcelona are about to sign Alexander Hleb from Arsenal, the Sport and Mundo Deportivo sport dailies reported on their websites Wednesday.
Barca have agreed to pay Arsenal 15 million euros (23.54 million dollars) for the 27-year-old Belarus midfielder, the reports said.
Unless there are any last-minute hitches, Barca will officially announce the signing on Thursday.
Hleb will be Barca's sixth summer signing, after Martin Caceres (Villarreal), Gerard Pique (Manchester United), Daniel Alves and Seydou Keita (both Sevilla).
Barca are engulfed in a massive internal crisis, as a result of Sunday's referendum on a no-confidence motion against president Joan Laporta.
Laporta has so far refused to resign. However, Catalan media reports claim that at least half of his board members are trying to persuade him to quit. (dpa)
