Lausanne, Switzerland - France international Franck Ribery is entitled to compensation of 340,000 euros (481,000 dollars) from his former agent, a Swiss court ruled Wednesday.
The Swiss Federal Tribunal upheld a ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) that Ribery was entitled to fees already paid to his former agent, a spokeswoman for the court said.
The player had opted out of a contract with his former agent before his transfer from Marseille to Bayern Munich in June 2007.
The agent had asked CAS to rule that Ribery was in breach of contract.
But CAS had ruled last April that the agent had infringed French law relating to sports licences and the contract was therefore null and void. (dpa)
