Ronaldo says he could never think of joining Man City

London, July 17 : Cristiano Ronaldo has told Manchester City that he could never think of joining them.

Asked if he would have joined City, the 24-year-old winger scoffed: "Never!"

"City have a lot of good players and might be a problem for United, Arsenal and Chelsea. But that doesn''t interest me. I am only interested in playing for Real Madrid and teams like Barcelona and Valencia," The Sun quoted him, as saying.

Manchester City are said to have wanted to sign Ronaldo from rivals Manchester United in an astonishing 135 million pound deal last year, but the Portuguese winker joined boyhood idols Real Madrid instead for 80 million pounds this summer.

Ronaldo fired another parting shot at his former club''s derby rivals by saying he hopes they do not win the Premier League title. (ANI)
