London, Feb 1 : Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, who smashed his 100th Premier League goal during the game against Arsenal, has admitted that he is greedy for more.
The goal also took Rooney to an inch closer to his aim of beating his record of 23 goals in one season.
“It''s a great feeling to play in the Premier League and score 100 goals. I''m extremely proud of that. Hopefully there are many more to come,” The Sun quoted Rooney, as saying.
“I''m really pleased with my form. This was our best performance of the season. We let Arsenal have a bit of possession and then we counter-attacked. We were deadly,” he added.
Meanwhile, manager Sir Alex Ferguson claimed that Rooney has become the "main man" at Old Trafford.
“Wayne''s unbelievable. He was the key point for us - they just couldn''t handle him,” Ferguson said.
“Everything was played towards him, behind him or in front of him, he was on it all the time,” he added. (ANI)
