London, Apr. 25 : England and Manchester United striker has joined the blogging site Twitter, but started off by making a series of mistakes.
The Man Utd ace attracted 150,000 followers within hours of his first Tweet to team mate Rio Ferdinand, The Sun reports.
He wrote: "Hi Rio do you want picking up in the morning pal."
Unfortunately, it flopped as novice Roo forgot to use Rio''s username, rioferdy5.
Later Wayne, 26, successfully tweeted - but with a spelling mistake: "Hi all this is Wayne Rooney just started so bare with me. Hope all is well. I''ll get rio to approve it''s me guys. Xoxo".
Rio, 32, later verified the account, tweeting: "Wayne Rooney is entering the twitterverse tweeps!!
Rooney has picked the username Wazzaroon08 - a nod to his nickname Wazza and United''s 2008 Champions League win in Moscow. (ANI)
