Schnyder takes first title since 2005 with Bali victory

Denpasar, Indonesia - Swiss veteran Patty Schnyder won her first WTA title in more than three years, earning the crown at the Commonwealth Bank Classic 6-3, 6-0 over Tamira Paszek on Sunday.
Second-seeded Schnyder, played in her second final of the season, last lifted a title in Cincinnati, in July, 2005, losing seven finals in the aftermath of that success.
The 29-year-old lifted her record to 2-1 over Austria's Paszek, whose only career title came two years ago in Croatia.
Schnyder improved to 33-19 on the season as she continues a purple patch following a US Open quarter-final. (dpa)
