Melbourne, Feb 4 : Shane Warne has narrowly avoided running into the man who is dating his former wife Simone Callahan.
The spin king was playing in a charity tribute match at the Kangaroo Flat Sports Club, near Bendigo, on Thursday.
But only hours before Warne arrived, Callahan''s new beau Toby Roberts had been at the club where his father Brownlow medallist Neil Roberts had given a speech at a luncheon for the event, reports the Herald Sun.
The near miss came just days after Callahan revealed she was dating the part-time model.
Event organiser and Blue Ribbon Foundation member Terry Mangles said Roberts left hours before Warne arrived, indicating the reason was obvious.
He later clarified that Roberts had brought his father to the event, but Neil had had to leave before the game started shortly after 5p. m.
Warne arrived just ahead of the start of the match, missing the lunch with Roberts. (ANI)
