Dhaka, Feb 3 : India won one gold and a silver in the 10-metre air rifle shooting event at the 11th South Asian Games here Wednesday.
India's Imran Hasan Khan shot 697.3 points to grab the gold medal in the individual category. Bangladesh's Asif Hossain (694.4 pts)and Shovon Chowdhury (690.3 pts) bagged the silver and bronze medal at the National Shooting Complex here, according to Bangaldesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS).
Ace shooter Hossain Khan powered Bangladesh to the team gold along with Abdullah Hel Baki and Shovon Chowdhury.
Indian team comprising Hasan Khan, Satyender Singh and Dhirender Singh Jamwal totalled 1764 points to win the silver.
Nepal got the bronze with Tikaram Shrestha, Chanas Rai and Krishna Bahadur Ghorasaeni totalling 1719 points.(IANS)
