Hockenheim (Germany), July 23 : Force India's Adrian Sutil was the fastest in the opening practice session of the German Grand Prix here Friday.
The 27-year-old German confidently negotiated the drenched track to top the time sheets at 1:25.701 seconds, more than one second ahead of Ferrari's Felipe Massa (+1.149 sec). British driver Jenson Button (+1.235 sec) came third in the practice.
"I think it's going to be a nice weekend. I always look forward to it. It is a good circuit (Hockenheim) to drive, one of my favourites. With Michael back I think we will have a lot of people in the stadium, and even if it's not completely full there's always a great atmosphere," Sutil said.
Hockenheim will be a home race for Sutil, Vettel and Schumacher and the organisers think they will attract a decent crowd on the race day. (IANS)
