New Delhi, Aug 10 : The teams for the Davis Cup World Group tie and the Commonwealth Games will be picked Friday by the selection committee and executive committee of All India Tennis Association (AITA).
The selection committee will also decide the probables for the November Asian Games.
India will be playing the Davis Cup World Group play-off tie against Brazil in Chennai Sep 17-19 before the Oct 3-14 Commonwealth Games here.
"The AITA will also discuss the clashing of dates of the ATP World Tour finals with the Asian Games," AITA executive director Ranbir Chauhan said in a statement.
"The meeting will also discuss government guidelines with respect to National Sports Federations (NSFs) and Indian Olympic Associations (IOA). Deliberations will take place on the proposed Olympic charter and the constitution sent by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to the IOA.
"Memorandum of understanding signed by the AITA with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports regarding the legacy due of the tennis stadium for the purpose of sustenance and promoting the game to children will also be discussed," he said. (IANS)
