London, Mar 1 : Chelsea legend Marcel Desailly has claimed that skipper John Terry has lost all respect from his club and national team-mates.
Desailly also accused Terry of smashing the code of conduct between professionals by sleeping with former Chelsea team-mate Wayne Bridge's ex-girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel.
"Knowing John Terry well, I know why he is not playing the way he normally does. He was catastrophic against Inter Milan," The Sun quoted Desailly, as saying.
"You have to understand that John is a born leader and captain of this Chelsea side since 2004. Now he has no credibility whatsoever within the club and this is being felt. No one is following him. Lampard, Joe Cole and the others who knew Wayne Bridge no longer allow him to be the leader."
"The whole squad is affected and has big problems. It will be a hard end to the season," he added.
Earlier in January, a super-injunction was imposed by a High Court judge preventing the media from reporting that Terry had had a four-month affair in late 2009 with Perroncel.
The injunction was lifted a week later, and the British media - especially the tabloid press - covered it in great detail in the days following.
The scandal cost Terry his England captaincy, after manager Fabio Capello replaced him with Rio Ferdinand. (ANI)
