London, June 14 : England fans are furious after US press tried to claim a one-all ''victory''in relation to the FIFA World Cup match played in South Africa on June 12.
Cheeky Yanks are claiming they won the England v USA match, the Daily Star reports.
An article in the New York Post boasted: "USA wins 1-1".
The report went on to call the draw the "greatest tie against the British since Bunker Hill".
The article then bragged about American supporters booing injured star David Beckham, 35, whenever the cameras cut to him in the stands.
Some Brits branded Americans "ignorant Yanks".
One England supporter said: "This is a new low even for a country where they try to teach creationism in schools."
Another said: "It was a draw, a tie, not a win on either side." (ANI)
