London, Jun 5 : It seems that English footballer Wayne Rooney had the time of his life at his stag party – with a 16-hour bender in bars and a nightclub.
When a fellow drinker asked the bridegroom-to-be if he was enjoying himself, the footballer gave a very sloshed answer.
“I am. I’m ****ing caked,” the Sun quoted him as replying.
The 17-strong stag party hit the bars after they had spent a day sinking Smirnoff Ice at their villa near Ibiza town. They had then knocked back champagne, vodka and Red Bull and beer at the packed Café Mambo.
After that they headed off to Lineker’s bar, which is owned by ex-soccer star Gary Lineker’s brother, named Wayne, and there, Rooney’s brother 17-year-old John, got the Reds player to sing, “There’s only one Gary Lineker.”
In the midst of all the fanfare, some girls tried to get their picture taken with Rooney but minders stopped them.
“One dolled-up girl in a basque yelled, ‘They think I’m a tart but I’m not. I just want to talk to him’,” an onlooker said.
Rooney was seen chain-smoking cigarettes in the Eden super club on Ibiza’s boozy strip in San Antonio, and dozing off during Radio 1 DJ Dave Pearce’s deafening set.
It was reported that the 22-year-old, Manchester United ace, finally ended the party and headed home at 5am Jun 4, after he was roused by pals and guided into a people carrier as dawn broke.
Rooney will be tying the knot with fiancée Coleen Mcloughlin next week. (ANI)
