London, Jan 4 : Wayne Rooney was spotted sporting a different hairdo, in what appeared to be an attempt to hide his already thinning hair, at Manchester airport on Tuesday.
It seemed that the father of one had either used some hair gel for his flight to Newcastle or maybe the lift was due to a vigorous back comb - but either way the sportsman felt it was time for a change, the Daily Mail reported.
Wearing a matching black tracksuit that was emblazoned with his team’s logo, Rooney looked rather serious as he strolled through the terminal.
The footballer had paid 30,000 pounds for a hair transplant at a central London clinic at the beginning of June last year and his hair has been closely followed ever since.
It was also reported at the beginning of December that Rooney’s hair transplant may not have worked properly when his hair appeared to be turning grey.
Director of the Harley Street Hair clinic Nadeem Uddin Khan had defended the results though saying that the ‘discolouration’ was normal.
“It isn’t possible to judge the full effect of a transplant for at least 6-12 months,” he had said. (ANI)
