Wolfsburg edge out Freiburg 3-2

Berlin, Feb 11 - Wolfsburg edged out bottom of the table team Freiburg 3-2 in a high scoring match, owing to a brace from midfielder Petr Jiracek in the German Bundesliga football.
Wolfsburg opened the scoring Friday night with only five minutes into the match as midfielder Jiracek slotted home from inside the penalty area.
Freiburg quickly levelled the scored in the 12th minute much to the dismay of the home fans.
Wolfsburg took the lead again two minutes later as midfielder Marcel Schaefer netted a supposed offside pass.
Freiburg staged yet another comeback as midfielder Daniel Caligur equalized the score in the 38th minute to make it 2-2, thanks to some sloppy defending from the Wolfsburg side.
However, Wolfsburg sealed the deal in the 61st minute through midfielder Jiracek who wrapped his brace and the win for his side.
"Today we were insecure. That was not what I wanted to see. Freiburg played well and we earned a lucky win," Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath was quoted as saying by Xinhua.
Wolfsburg climbed up from 10th to 8th position with 27 points while Freiburg stay last with 17 points. (IANS)
