Surface tablet may be Wi-Fi only, reportAccording to a new report, the recently released Surface tablet computers from Microsoft could be Wi-Fi only, indicating that the users will not be able to use the increasing wide spreading fast 3G and even 4G networks across the world. It is believed that the mobile wireless capabilities will be released later by the company.

Bloomberg cited people closer to the matter and said that the device might be launched without any mobile-phone network connection and will only come with a Wi-Fi connection. The Redmond, Washington-based company recently released two models of its upcoming tablet computer named, Surface.

Steve Ballmer, the chief executive officer of the company announced the new tablet at an event in Milk Studios in Los Angeles. The company announced the launch of two different versions of its new Surface tablet computer known as the Microsoft Surface RT and the Microsoft Surface Pro.

Ballmer said that the device is part of a whole new family of device being developed by the company. Reports also suggest that the company will launch the tablets this year and will work with Pegatron, to manufacture the tablet
