Tamil schools to be relocated in Malay Indian areas for more enrolment

Tamil schools to be relocated in Malay Indian areas for more enrolmentKuala Lumpur, Dec 31 : The Malaysian Makkal Sakthi Party (MMSP) has recommended that Tamil schools with low enrolment to be relocated to areas with a substantial number of Indians to get better enrolment.

MMSP national youth chief N. Ramu said many estate workers had shifted to towns in search of greener pastures.

He said parents in towns are forced to send their children to national-type schools as Tamil schools are far from their homes.

Ramu said Tamil schools in estates might be closed as estates are taken over by foreign workforce, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Malaysian Indian Congress national information chief P. Kamalanathan urged Indian youths to seize the many opportunities offered by the government to succeed.

When foreigners who had left their homeland to work in Malaysia were successfully earning a living, he said there was no reason for Indian youths to moan of lack of opportunities. (ANI)
