Tehran summons Swedish ambassador over embassy attack in StockholmTehran - Tehran summoned Sweden's ambassador to explain an attack on the Iranian embassy attack in Stockholm, official news agency IRNA reported Saturday.

Iranian expatriates in Stockholm stormed the Iranian mission there on Friday and engaged in fisticuffs with embassy staff.

The foreign ministry summoned the Swedish envoy on Friday night and condemned the "terrorist attack by counter-revolutionary elements," the agency reported.

According to Swedish police, two people were arrested when police tried to clear the embassy. About 200 demonstrators had protested outside the embassy, alleging fraud in the June 12 election and protesting the restriction of freedom of expression in Iran.

A smaller group broke away from the crowd and forced its way into the embassy. (dpa)
