Third swine flu, a possibility or myth

Swine-FluWhat if there comes a third wave of swine flu? What will be its affect this time or shall we keep the necessary armor in place to play on a safer side?

Well, it seems that, with an inclination in the cases of swine flu and the simultaneous development of the immunity levels, there is possibility of third attack.

According to reports, 95 people have surrendered to the H1N1 influenza in Delhi alone and 9,685 patients have been treated.

Whenever a pandemic breaks, casualties do occur at the beginning. This is akin to H1N1 as well. In a period of Six months the H1N1 flu penetrates in the body, mutilating the resistance power. If the virus mutates, it could cause a threat and thus can also costs many lives.

Dr. Bir Singh, Professor of Community Medicine at AIIMS said, "The comforting fact is that, the second wave of this pandemic shall not affect to an extent in India. The worst is, perhaps, over." In case of a third wave, the community will be well versed with do's and don'ts of the influenza.

However in any case we should gear up for the worst as well, who knows what's in the store for us.
