Tiger Woods’ niece Cheyenne makes her LPGA debutLondon, June 28 : Tiger Wood's niece Cheyenne Woods made her LPGA debut on Thursday at Rochester, New York.

However, the debutant revealed that she was not in touch with the golf icon moments before the game, she said: "I talked to him about a month and a half ago when I got the exemption and he was really excited for me to be playing in this.

"He was just excited and looking forward to seeing how I would do."

She also added that she was nervous before the game began, reports The Sydney Morning Herald.

"I was a little nervous warming up and getting ready but as I teed off my stomach got a little better," she said.

Playing on a sponsor''s exemption, she birdied the second hole, ending her first round in a tie for 121st place.

On a rain-affected second day, Woods improved her position, with one-over through 10 holes, though she was still battling to make the cut.

Woods is the daughter of Earl Woods jnr, Tiger''s half-brother through Earl snr''s previous marriage. (ANI)
