Top Brit ‘Osama’ cop gets the big boot

Top Brit ‘Osama’ cop gets the big bootLondon, Sept 15 : A top cop in British Police has lost his job for dressing like Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden in a carnival parade in Afghanistan on September 6, five days ahead of the seventh anniversary of 9/11 air attacks on the US, engineered by Al Qaeda operatives.

Chief Superintendent Colin Terry (49) was on secondment working with the Afghan police.

He will now rejoin the Devon and Cornwall force and may face an internal inquiry, said British Foreign Office.

“Chief Superintendent Colin Terry will not return to the EU policing mission in Afghanistan,” The Sun quoted a Foreign Office spokesman as saying.

A dad-of-two, Terry appeared in fancy dress at Grampound Carnival in Cornwall. His behaviour was even condemned as “unacceptable” by his own force.

The police said his actions were “misguided” and the costume was “clearly inappropriate”.

Terry said yesterday he was “extremely disappointed”, and admitted “an error of judgment”. (ANI)
