Toyota to Increase Prices by OctoberBe ready to see increased prices of Toyota cars from this October. The hike is due to increase in input cost and Japanese Yen appreciation.

The rise would be by 1 to 2%, revealed Deputy MD of Marketing Sector Toyota Kirloskar Motors, Sandeep Singh. He further revealed that prices for all cars would be increased except Liva and Etios Liva.

It would not be the first time that Japanese automobile makers would increase the price as they had already increased 1.5% in April and same percentage in July, as well.

Increase in manufacturing components is not the only news, as they are also expecting to expand company’s operations and for that they would invest 16.50 billion. Sandeep revealed that with this amount they would increase their production base by one lakh unit and is also thinking to increase local operations by 2014.

Good news is that they are increasing the work force also, and have recently employed 1500 people for company operations in India.
