Mumbai: After failing to get charge of his ailing brother ‘Faisal Khan,’ Aamir Khan wishes to move ahead by giving his full attention on his forthcoming movie ‘Taare Zameen Par.’
Aamir gave big thanks to his admirers for their full back up during the virulent event.
In a communiqué on his Internet site, Aamir said, “Last one month has been a real test for my family and me but I think finally we have reached closure. I thank you all for hanging in there with me.”
“Sincerely, your words of comfort make me feel so much better,” he also said.
Bhopal court to hear Aamir Khan’s case for dishonouring tricolour

Bhopal, Nov 7 : A Bhopal court will today hear a case involving Bollywood actor Aamir Khan for allegedly dishonouring the tricolour at a promotional event in Indore.
Earlier, First Class Judicial Magistrate B S Muvel had issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Aamir after he failed thrice to appear before the court.
In August, a local lawyer, Suresh Kanga, had filed the complaint, which stated that at an event to promote a car as a brand ambassador for its manufacturer, Aamir "dishonoured" the tricolour, which was struck on top of the car much late after the function was over.

Also, Aamir and Kiran have been credited as 'singers' in TZP.
The film's creative director Amol Gupte didn’t confirm the news.
TZP is the first film directed by Aamir. Kiran Rao was an assistant director to Ashutosh Govarikar before her marriage to Aamir.

Dharamsala, Mar 30 : Tibetan nuns living in Dharamsala have staged a hunger strike here, and urged Bollywood actor Aamir Khan to refrain from participating in the Olympic torch relay when it passes through New Delhi.
The Olympic torch relay is scheduled to be held in the national capital on April 17.
"Their appeal to Aamir Khan is that, please support the Tibetan cause and do not carry this torch of shame," said B. Tsering, a Tibetan Woman.
The exiled nuns urged Aamir Khan and other celebrities who are expected to join the relay to skip it and express solidarity with the Tibetans.

Veteran writer Shakuntala Devi has created a sensation by saying that the movie ‘Taare Zameen Par’ is a scene-by-scene copy of his novel ‘In the Wonderland Of Numbers’.
The 69 year writer claims that her book talks about a nine year old girl suffering from dyslexia much like the character of Ishaan Awasthi played by Darsheel Safary.
According to Shakuntala, some of the sequences in the movie have been copied chapter by chapter from her book.

Aamir Khan's Ghajini has smashed all records by grossing over Rs 100 crore in one week.
"Historic Hit in 14 minutes and 52 seconds," read the posters across the city.
"Ghajini has had the biggest box office opening and collections this year. It is the first movie to cross more than 100 crores in a week. The collections, as of 31st December, were Rs 140 crores and we are still counting," said the spokesperson for Ghajini.
The audience seem to have given the movie a thumbs up even though the critics do not think too much of it.

After having tided over the copyright row, this time, Ghajini is up against the social activist Pratibha Naitthani.
According to Pratibha Nathani, the film is sending out a wrong message as the gruesome aggression portrayed in the scenes could have a negative impact on children.
In her petition, which is likely to be heard next week, Naitthani said that children should not be exposed to such violent scenes.

Ghajini home video rights fetch lower price than expected

According to ilovebolly. com, the home video rights of Aamir Khan's super duper hit Ghajini have been bought by Reliance Entertainment's BIG Home Video for Rs 37.50 million that's Rs. 3.75 crores.
It is learnt that BIG Home Video is now looking at releasing the film's home video within the next fortnight at a big function where Aamir Khan will also be present along with the film's other cast members.
It was earlier speculated that the film's rights would be purchased for at least Rs 4.50 crores but they have been leveled down to Rs 37.5 crores which is a good 15 - 20 per cent lower than expected earlier.

Reports are that Aamir Khan is set to be a dad once again as his wife Kiran Rao is pregnant for the first time.
It is learnt that Kiran is three months pregnant. She was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai for fever on May 31.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a source revealed, "During the hospitalisation, Aamir would visit her everyday. He used to come in late at night, after 9pm. It was obvious he did not want any attention. At the time of discharge, the pregnancy was normal and there was no reason to worry."

While Aamir Khan is an extremely talented actor but he was faced by a challenge when he had to ‘look’ like he was in his 20s for his role in 3 Idiots. He had to work hard on looking, behaving and dressing like youngsters these days do. His inspirations were mostly his son Junaid’s friends.
His character in the film, Rancho, is apparently based on his cousin Pablo, who is Mansoor Khan’s teenaged son. Aamir likes the way Pablo is so fidgety that he can’t stay still for a minute. He doesn’t stop to even talk.

Aamir Khan will be playing a ventriloquist in an upcoming advertisement. However, well-known ventriloquist Ramdas Padhye will actually be operating the puppet.
Padhye was shocked to see Aamir’s reaction on meeting him. Aamir said, “It’s lovely meeting you again” even though it was the first time they were meeting. He later found out that Aamir used to watch his show on Doordarshan, Meri Bhi Suno, regularly. Aamir couldn’t remember the puppet’s name but was very excited when Padhye brought it along with him one day and kept staring at it excitedly.

Police have served a notice to the owner of Saraswati Hotel, seeking an explanation for "flouting the basic rules for allotment of rooms in a hotel", a police officer said Wednesday.

New Delhi, Dec 24 : Bollywood star Aamir Khan has designed shoes for his latest movie "3 Idiots", which will be released Friday.
The actor has especially designed a range of Converse shoes with what he calls 'doodle designs'. These shoes, worn by Aamir, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in the movie, are being sold through a 24-hour shopping TV channel HomeShop18 on a show called "Converse 3 Idiots collection".

The total overseas box office takings for the film so far is a record-breaking $10 million.
In Britain, "3 Idiots" has grossed more than 1.115 million pounds ($1.8 million), and as the number one film on Christmas Day, out-grossing "Avatar", producers Reliance BIG Pictures said Wednesday.

New Delhi, Jan 7 : What should a person do who doesn't know what dyslexia is? Watch Aamir Khan's "Taare Zameen Par". This is what the Delhi High Court advised a petitioner who described dyslexia, a learning disorder, as a mental disorder.
Perceiving that the petitioner did not have a clear understanding of dyslexia, a bench headed by Chief Justice Ajit Prakash Shah asked him to see the film, which is about a boy suffering from the learning disorder.
"You must have VCD at home. See 'Taare Zameen Par' to understand about the problem of dyslexia," the court said.

Renowned film maker Tahir Hussain, who is the father of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, passed away after suffering a major heart attack today morning.
Tahir, who contributed a great deal to the Hindi film industry as a writer, director, actor and producer, breathed his last at Aamir's house in Bandra.
Hussain is well-known for producing hit Hindi flicks including Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Dulha Bikta Hai, Zakhmee, Anamika and Caravan.
Not many know, Tahir had also acted in a few movies like Pyar Ka Mausam, Janam Janam Na Saath and Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai.
