Mumbai: After failing to get charge of his ailing brother ‘Faisal Khan,’ Aamir Khan wishes to move ahead by giving his full attention on his forthcoming movie ‘Taare Zameen Par.’

Aamir gave big thanks to his admirers for their full back up during the virulent event.

In a communiqué on his Internet site, Aamir said, “Last one month has been a real test for my family and me but I think finally we have reached closure. I thank you all for hanging in there with me.”

“Sincerely, your words of comfort make me feel so much better,” he also said.

Bhopal, Nov 7 : A Bhopal court will today hear a case involving Bollywood actor Aamir Khan for allegedly dishonouring the tricolour at a promotional event in Indore.

Earlier, First Class Judicial Magistrate B S Muvel had issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Aamir after he failed thrice to appear before the court.

In August, a local lawyer, Suresh Kanga, had filed the complaint, which stated that at an event to promote a car as a brand ambassador for its manufacturer, Aamir "dishonoured" the tricolour, which was struck on top of the car much late after the function was over.

Dharamsala, Mar 30 : Tibetan nuns living in Dharamsala have staged a hunger strike here, and urged Bollywood actor Aamir Khan to refrain from participating in the Olympic torch relay when it passes through New Delhi.

The Olympic torch relay is scheduled to be held in the national capital on April 17.

"Their appeal to Aamir Khan is that, please support the Tibetan cause and do not carry this torch of shame," said B. Tsering, a Tibetan Woman.

The exiled nuns urged Aamir Khan and other celebrities who are expected to join the relay to skip it and express solidarity with the Tibetans.

Aamir Khan’s directorial debut ‘Taare Zameen Par’ was absent from the nomination list for the 9th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards declared on Tuesday.

It is believed that Aamir didn't formally apply for a nomination in any award category this year.

Taare Zameen Par, meaning Stars on Earth, is Bollywood actor Aamir Khan's debut directorial film. It was released in 2007 and has received critical and box office acclaim.

Khan, who directed and produced the film, said it earned 28 million dollars at the box office worldwide, IANS news agency reported.

Hearing on the case will be resumed on the January 6, 2009. The producer of Tamil version of the movie, A Chandreshekhar accused makers of ‘Ghajini’ of forging documents to get the copyright. The Rajkamal Academy of Cinematic Excellence (RACE), founded by V Shantaram in 1975, has been presenting the V Shantaram Awards from last 15 years. The academy confers three categories of awards - Gold, Silver and Bronze to directors.

This year Aamir Khan's directorial debut Taare Zameen Par has won the Gold Award for Best Film while Neeraj Pandey's A Wednesday and Marathi film Tingya got the Silver and Bronze award in the Best Film category.

According to Pratibha Nathani, the film is sending out a wrong message as the gruesome aggression portrayed in the scenes could have a negative impact on children.

In her petition, which is likely to be heard next week, Naitthani said that children should not be exposed to such violent scenes.

Recently Aamir Khan said that he has no qualms about working with Shah Rukh, however, King Khan is “scared” to work with him. He also talked about his movies, ambition and the ‘perfectionist, control-freak’ tag that trails him whatever he does.

Aamir said, “I'm not a control freak. I'm realistic about my limits. When I act in a film, it's the director who is the boss. It's not my responsibility to control the film. But I'm always there if the director wants any help or suggestion. I just go with the flow.”

Visibly upbeat after the record-breaking success of ‘Ghajini’, Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan aspires to woo the audience with the same results in all his upcoming movies.

While talking about his forthcoming much-awaited Rajkumar Hirani’s “3 Idiots”, the actor said, “Success is not in my hands. I can only follow my heart and work with all the sincerity and hard work that I always do. I would be happy if my next film 3 Idiots breaks all Ghajini records.”

The Bombay High Court on Friday has adjourned by a week the hearing of an appeal in response to public interest litigation (PIL) challenging the Censor Board's decision seeking an ‘A’ certification for Ghajini.

The petition, filed by Pratibha Nathani, a social activist and a professor of Political Science professor at St Xavier’s College, said that the film is sending out a wrong message as the gruesome aggression portrayed in the scenes could have a negative impact on children.

Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan, who is known for his unique and outstanding performances, is filled with joy over the success of his movie 'Ghajini.' The superstar as of now is busy shooting for Rajkumar Hirani's "Three Idiots" at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) campus in Bangalore and enjoying every bit of it.

After his record-breaking performance in ‘Ghajini’, Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan will now be seen asking countrymen not to misbehave with foreign tourists and spoil monuments.

The will be a major part of the social awareness campaign started by the Tourism Ministry.

The campaign comes at a time when India has repeatedly hit global headlines over rape and harassment cases of foreign vacationers.

Aamir Khan, who is known for doing something serious and socially beneficial, has decided to take up the cause of farmers in his next home production film.

According to sources, Mr. Perfectionist is making a film based on farmers’ plight in Bhopal.
 
It is also learnt that the multi-talented actor has roped in Anusha Rizvi to direct the film. Veteran actor Raghubir Yadav, who acted in Lagaan, has been signed to play the lead role.
 

Ahmedabad, Feb. 8, : Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan visited Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Ahmedabad to deliver a lecture on ''Introduction to Contemporary Film Industry''- a newly introduced subject.

Khan also interacted with nearly 80 second-year students of the institute.

According to ilovebolly. com, the home video rights of Aamir Khan's super duper hit Ghajini have been bought by Reliance Entertainment's BIG Home Video for Rs 37.50 million that's Rs. 3.75 crores.

It is learnt that BIG Home Video is now looking at releasing the film's home video within the next fortnight at a big function where Aamir Khan will also be present along with the film's other cast members.

It was earlier speculated that the film's rights would be purchased for at least Rs 4.50 crores but they have been leveled down to Rs 37.5 crores which is a good 15 - 20 per cent lower than expected earlier.

We caught up with Aamir Khan on his 44th birthday at his Pali Hill residence. Aamir who has been on a diet for his forthcoming film Three Idiots was avoiding eating his own birthday cake! When queried he said, "I am surviving on milk and few bananas as I have been asked to lose weight for the role."

About the war of words ensued between him and Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir clarified, "I only wish the best for him. There is no bad blood between me and him."

Aamir Khan has plans to send out voice messages to everybody's mobile phone urging them to vote. The star will be recording this public message very soon that will be part of a social service initiative launched by an NGO called ADR (Association of Democratic Reform). The film that had practically gone unnoticed when released despite starring Aamir Khan because it had managed to get a very limited release with just six prints in three cities. Very few people know that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan made his debut as an actor through intense drama like Raakh in 1989. Although Raakh was not his first release. After Bollywood superstar, Amitabh Bachchan, popular actor Aamir Khan has called upon the government of Australia to check the surge in racial attacks at once.

In his blog, www. aamirkhan. com/blog, Amir wrote that it was very disturbing that Indian students were being targeted by the Australians merely because of their skin color.

"Most disturbing to hear about racist attacks on Indians living in Australia. Quite a shame," wrote the actor in his blog.

In his blog, the worried Khan wrote that he is most disturbed to hear about racist attacks on Indian people.

Reports are that Aamir Khan is set to be a dad once again as his wife Kiran Rao is pregnant for the first time.

It is learnt that Kiran is three months pregnant. She was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai for fever on May 31.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a source revealed, "During the hospitalisation, Aamir would visit her everyday. He used to come in late at night, after 9pm. It was obvious he did not want any attention. At the time of discharge, the pregnancy was normal and there was no reason to worry."

After recently getting discharged from hospital, Aamir Khan’s loving wife Kiran has been hospitalized again after the fever recurred.

After thorough tests, doctors discovered that Kiran has lung infection.  

Presently, Aamir is more worried about his wife’s health than anything else.

Tragedy has struck the Khan household. Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao has had a miscarriage due to which they have lost their baby.

Aamir had kept this tragic news hidden from everyone else for almost two months now. Finally revealing it in his latest blog entry, Aamir states, “I have bad news folks. Kiran and I lost our baby. Despite our best efforts we were unable to avert a miscarriage. The last 2 months have been a struggle for us and that is one of the reasons I was absent from the blog in more ways than one.”

Mumbai, Sep 21 : Bollywood actor Aamir Khan on Monday celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr in Mumbai with his family and friends.

"Well, on the occasion of Eid, I will stay with my family, my mom and the friends who are here to meet me," Aamir Khan said.

During the holy month of Ramadan, devout Muslims stay on fast from dusk to dawn. They don't even drink water during the day.

At the end of Ramadan or month of fasting, Muslims hold a joyous three-day celebration called Eid-ul-Fitr.

New Delhi, Oct 16 - Bollywood star Aamir Khan has finished shooting for Rajkumar Hirani's much awaited "3 Idiots", based on Chetan Bhagat's bestseller "Five Point Someone", and confesses that now he is worried about the audiences' reaction.

With top notch Bollywood celebrities sashaying down the ramp, the second edition of the HDIL India Couture Week was high on glamour and less on couture.

This week two people in India were victims of "exercise addiction".

Forty-two year-old Ranjan Das, the youngest CEO in the country, collapsed with a massive cardiac arrest after working out in his in-house gym in Mumbai, while in Jaipur a young aspiring model died while working out at the treadmill at a gym.

Mumbai, Nov 5 : Ahead of the release of his new film "3 Idiots", Bollywood actor Aamir Khan Thursday drew a distinction between the term "idiots" and "stupid", saying that "idiots are very normal persons" who at some point prove themselves in an "unconventional way".

At an event in a city hotel to promote the first song of Rajkumar Hirani's "3 idiots", Aamir said: "Idiots are thought to be very normal persons but at some point of time they prove themselves to be someone with extra calibre. They are not stupid, rather they come to limelight in an unconventional way."

While Aamir Khan is an extremely talented actor but he was faced by a challenge when he had to ‘look’ like he was in his 20s for his role in 3 Idiots. He had to work hard on looking, behaving and dressing like youngsters these days do. His inspirations were mostly his son Junaid’s friends.

His character in the film, Rancho, is apparently based on his cousin Pablo, who is Mansoor Khan’s teenaged son. Aamir likes the way Pablo is so fidgety that he can’t stay still for a minute. He doesn’t stop to even talk.

Aamir Khan will be playing a ventriloquist in an upcoming advertisement. However, well-known ventriloquist Ramdas Padhye will actually be operating the puppet.

Padhye was shocked to see Aamir’s reaction on meeting him. Aamir said, “It’s lovely meeting you again” even though it was the first time they were meeting. He later found out that Aamir used to watch his show on Doordarshan, Meri Bhi Suno, regularly. Aamir couldn’t remember the puppet’s name but was very excited when Padhye brought it along with him one day and kept staring at it excitedly.

Aamir Khan had an embarrassing situation yesterday. He needed to use a bathroom urgently and had to rush past journalists who were waiting him at a press conference.

Aamir was stuck in the traffic for two and a half hours and was desperately looking for a bathroom. By the time he reached the five star hotel, he was almost pushing past the media and pleaded that he needed to use the bathroom.

We can’t help but feel a little bad for Aamir now.

Honing his Hindi vocabulary, Surya is learning the perfect pitch to deliver his dialogues for the Ram Gopal Varma political thriller Rakht Charitra.

Apart from Surya, actor Vivek Oberoi is also to be seen in this flick in the role of gangster Paritala Ravi. Rakht Charitra is expected to go on floors from February 2010.

The box-office is in for a Rs 400 crore party. And that too hosted by the big daddies of Bollywood. Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots, which is slated for a December 25 release, is closely followed by Hrithik Roshan’s Kites on January 15, Salman Khan’s Veer on January 29 and Shah Rukh Khan’s My Name is Khan on February 12. So much so that over Rs 400 crore are said to be riding on an investment of Rs 275 crore, within a span of 42 days!

New Delhi, Nov 19 : Aamir Khan is known to walk the path less travelled. And has done so again by choosing to release the music of his upcoming film "3 Idiots" online and getting the parents of composer Shantanu Moitra and lyricist Swanand Kirkire to grace the event.

Though he is not the producer or the director, Aamir was instrumental in organising the music release of the much awaited film.

Moitra and Kirkire are touched by the actor's gesture to call their parents instead of a Bollywood biggie to launch the music.

New Delhi, Nov 25 : He might be a superstar today, but Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has no qualms in admitting that he has undergone various punishments during his education days - from getting caned to kneeling down for the whole day.

"When in school, kneeling down in front of the principal's office was a regular feature. I have also been caned a couple of times. It is strange that when you get caned, you don't realise the pain instantly, but after two seconds it shoots so badly... It's awful," Aamir told reporters here.

Mumbai, Nov 27 : Aamir Khan, who is currently busy promoting "3 Idiots", has decided not to take any new acting assignments in 2010 because he wants to concentrate on his three home productions.

"Aamir had earlier decided to take one year off. But now he has decided to extend his sabbatical by one more year. Filmmakers who have approached him with projects have been told that Aamir intends to take approximately one more year to supervise the post-production and final look of his three films," said a source close to the actor.

The perfectionist in Aamir Khan has yet again proved the credentials of his title. He doesn’t seem to be pleased with the current technology to handle the traffic in the chat rooms. So, he has decided to design a chat room his way. But what is the reason for this disappointment?

Aamir recently conducted a fans chat on the occasion of music launch of 3 Idiots on the Internet and during the chat he discovered something, which compounded the reason for his misery.

New Delhi, Dec 4 : Aamir Khan, elated at his next production venture "Peepli Live", a black comedy about rural life in India, has entered the competition section at the Sundance Film Festival 2010, starting Jan 21.

"Peepli Live" is Anusha Rizvi's directorial debut and stars mostly first-timers.

"I am so happy and proud of my writer-director Anusha Rizvi. 'Peepli Live' has been selected at the Sundance Film Festival in the competition section... If I'm not mistaken, it is the first Indian feature film to make it to the competition section there," Aamir posted on his blog www. aamirkhan. com/blog Friday.

Mumbai, Dec 11 : Aamir Khan has come up with an unique way to promote his forthcoming film "3 Idiots" -- he has launched a game where one has to spot the Bollywood star who will travel across the country for two weeks in different get-ups.

"Everyone is welcome in this game. I will play this game with you and my audiences. If you are watching this video, you are already a part of the game," Aamir said in a recorded video message shown here at the game launch function Friday.

Lucknow, Dec 16 : A hotel in Uttar Pradesh's Chandauli district is in trouble for providing a room to Bollywood star Aamir Khan without establishing his identity.

Police have served a notice to the owner of Saraswati Hotel, seeking an explanation for "flouting the basic rules for allotment of rooms in a hotel", a police officer said Wednesday.

For promoting his forthcoming movie "3 Idiots", Aamir Khan Saturday roamed around Varanasi district in the guise of an elderly Maulana.

He stayed in the Sarawsati hotel in adjoining Mugalsarai town, some 300 km from Lucknow.

New Delhi, Dec 16 : Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan turned a Rahul Gandhi in Madhya Pradesh when he surprised a weaver by spending hours at his humble house along with Kareena Kapoor, sharing simple home-cooked meals with the family and leaving only two hours past midnight.

New Delhi, Dec 21 - Aamir Khan is returning to the big screen exactly after a year with "3 Idiots" and the film has created the right buzz thanks to the innovative ways he has been promoting it. Revolving around three friends and their college days, the movie releases Friday.

Loosely based on Chetan Bhagat's bestseller "Five Point Someone", the film has been produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who has invested around Rs. 35 crore in it.

New Delhi, Dec 21- Aamir Khan, who has been criss-crossing the country in disguise to promote his new film "3 Idiots", has been denied permission to spend a day with the Indian Army's cadets at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

"The film star had sent a request to the defence ministry to spend a day at OTA. But it has been declined and the ministry has not given any reason for it," sources said.

New Delhi, Dec 22 : Aamir Khan can't stop praising Kareena Kapoor's acting skills and her looks. The actor says he couldn't have asked for a better co-star than her for his forthcoming film "3 Idiots".

"Kareena is outstanding... an instinctive actress, extremely committed, a team player... we get along well. And she's good looking... what more can one ask for?" Aamir said in a press statement.

Mumbai, Dec 23 : Aamir Khan made 24 friends during his two-week promotional tour across the country and has invited them all to attend the premiere of his film "3 Idiots" here Wednesday.

"Wherever I went, I made friends and I have invited them. All of them will surely come to the premiere," said Aamir told reporters at Taj Lands End here.

"There are 24 people whom I have invited personally. They are those people whom I met in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Punjab. They are my guests," said Aamir.

New Delhi, Dec 24 : Bollywood star Aamir Khan has designed shoes for his latest movie "3 Idiots", which will be released Friday.

The actor has especially designed a range of Converse shoes with what he calls 'doodle designs'. These shoes, worn by Aamir, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in the movie, are being sold through a 24-hour shopping TV channel HomeShop18 on a show called "Converse 3 Idiots collection".

Noida, Jan 1 :Actor Aamir Khan Friday said author Chetan Bhagat was "hungry for publicity" and denied claims that the film "3 Idiots" was 70 percent based on Bhagat's bestseller "Five Point Someone".

"Three months earlier he (Bhagat) was saying something else and now he is saying something else as the movie is a huge hit now," Aamir told reporters at a press conference at Big Cinemas here.

Noida, Jan 2 : Bollywood star Aamir Khan is known to strive for perfection. He now plans to take a break from acting this year as he wants to concentrate on his role as the producer of "Delhi Belly", "Peepli Live" and "Dhobi Ghat".

"I want to take a break from acting this year. So no shootings for me. I would like to concentrate more as a producer," Aamir said at a press conference in Big Cinemas here late Friday.

"I'm just telling people to see the film and read my book. I know Aamir is a very powerful person. But finally the truth has to prevail, no? I'm no great artist. But there has to be fair play," Bhagat told IANS.

New Delhi, Jan 4 : Aamir Khan starrer "3 Idiots" is in its second week and the comedy-drama is still going strong. The film has earned Rs. 240 crore (Rs. 2.4 billion) so far and multiplexes are still screening an average of 10 houseful shows a day.

London, Jan 6 :  Aamir Khan starrer Hindi film "3 Idiots" has retained its position in the top 10 of the British box office in week two after eclipsing Hollywood's "Avatar" in Christmas viewing charts.

The total overseas box office takings for the film so far is a record-breaking $10 million.

In Britain, "3 Idiots" has grossed more than 1.115 million pounds ($1.8 million), and as the number one film on Christmas Day, out-grossing "Avatar", producers Reliance BIG Pictures said Wednesday.

New Delhi, Jan 7 : What should a person do who doesn't know what dyslexia is? Watch Aamir Khan's "Taare Zameen Par". This is what the Delhi High Court advised a petitioner who described dyslexia, a learning disorder, as a mental disorder.

Perceiving that the petitioner did not have a clear understanding of dyslexia, a bench headed by Chief Justice Ajit Prakash Shah asked him to see the film, which is about a boy suffering from the learning disorder.

"You must have VCD at home. See 'Taare Zameen Par' to understand about the problem of dyslexia," the court said.

Mumbai, Feb 17 - Miffed by media reports that he is trying to harm writers, Bollywood star Aamir Khan has resigned from the 10-member committee formed by the government to look into the proposed amendments to the Copyright Act.

"It seems to me that there is an attempt by certain people to attack me in public by printing lies about me, thereby turning the attention away from a genuine debate about copyright issues," Aamir wrote Tuesday to Human Resources Development Minister Kapil Sibal.

Ace Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has stepped down from the ten-member group constituted by the Centre to explore proposed amendments to the Copyright Act.

In a note to HRD Minister Kapil Sibal, the actor said, "It seems to me that there is an attempt by certain people to attack me in public by printing lies about me, thereby turning the attention away from a genuine debate about copyright issues."

Actor Aamir Khan has decided to resign from the committee formed to review the proposed amendments in the copyright act.

Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan on Friday backed away his resignation from the copyright team, framed by Minister for Human Resource Development Kapil Sibal to bridge disparities between film makers and creative staff over the proposed adjustments to the copyright law.

Mumbai, July 14 - Aamir Khan Tuesday paid tribute to late Asheem Chakravarty of the Indian Ocean at the music launch of his production "Peepli Live" and said that the song "Zindagi Se Darte" used in the film was the last song he composed.

"He (Asheem) was one of the members of Indian Ocean and unfortunately he passed away. It's a great loss to all the people who are close to him - Indian Ocean, his family and to his fans all across the world... and 'Zindagi Se Darte' was his last song," Aamir said.

Bollywood superstar turned filmmaker Aamir Khan is ready to fly to Toronto to attend the screening of his wife Kiran Rao's directorial debut movie `Dhobi Ghat'. The forthcoming Toronto International Film Festival
(TIFF) will screen the movie.

On his Facebook page, Aamir khan posted that he is prepared to leave for Toronto, where the first screening of his wife's movie `Dhobi Ghat' will take place on September 10. He said too many nervous days are coming together.

Toronto, Sep 11: Kiran Rao's 'Dhobi Ghat,' which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) here Friday night in the presence of the whole cast at the city's Elgin Garden Theatres, wowed the audiences with its artistry and fluidity.

The film is Kiran Rao's directorial debut, with her husband Aamir Khan playing the lead role of a painter (Arun living in Bhendi Bazaar).

Mumbai, Oct 27 :France-based production and distribution company Studio Canal will distribute Aamir Khan starrer "3 Idiots" in that country in June next year.

"We distributed videos of '3 Idiots' in the UK and we will distribute the film in France probably around June 2011," Rodolphe Buet, executive vice president, international distribution and new business of Studio Canal, told IANS in an exclusive interview.

Mumbai, Nov 5 - Reacting to director Anusha Rizvi's decision to disassociate herself from "Peepli Live", actor-producer Aamir Khan said it would be difficult for her to do so because it's her film.

"She has made the film, now removing herself from the film will be difficult for her," Aamir Thursday told the reporters at the DVD launch of "Peepli Live", which is India's entry at the Oscars this year.

Mumbai, Nov 5 - Aamir Khan, who took a long sabbatical from acting after "3 Idiots", says he will start shooting for director Reema Katgi's suspense drama in February next year.

"I have recently signed Reema Katgi's film. Reema and Zoya (Akhtar) have written this film. It's a suspense drama. We will start shooting end of February. After `3 Idiots', this is the first film I have signed. The casting of the film has not been finished yet," Aamir told reporters at the DVD launch of "Peepli Live" here Thursday.

Mumbai, Nov 5 - Superstar Aamir Khan says his forthcoming film "Dhobi Ghat", which is his wife Kiran Rao's directorial debut, may not be liked by the masses.

"I fear that masses may not like 'Dhobi Ghat' because it is a very fine and delicate film. People who understand film, people who are sensitive - this film is for them. This is not a mainstream film," said Aamir.

Mumbai, Jan 21- She didn't want to work with Aamir Khan in "Dhobi Ghat", but once he was on board, first-time director Kiran Rao not only enjoyed working with her husband but also got some valuable tips from him. She is however not sure if she will write a script specially for him, although she says he is a "dream producer".

New Delhi, Jan 22 - Bollywood actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan, who is busy amassing accolades for his latest project "Dhobi Ghat", is on the international jury of the upcoming 61st Berlin International Film Festival.

The 45-year-old is sharing the honour with Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi, Australian producer Jan Chapman, German actress Nina Hoss, Canadian filmmaker Guy Maddin and British costume designer Sandy Powell.

Italian actress Isabella Rossellini will head the jury, said an update on the festival's official website.

As part of the jury at the film extravaganza, Aamir will be involved in deciding the festival's main prizes - the coveted Golden and Silver Bear awards.

Bollywood perfectionist start Aamir Khan has been honoured as one of the juries of 61st Berlin film festival. The actor turned producer, whose two films have been nominated for Oscar twice in the past years, will join Italian-American actress Isabella Rossellini headed team of juries.

The organizers of the festival, which is set to take place next month, have said that Aamir will bring some Indian spice to the jury. The seven-person jury will choose the winner of the prestigious Golden and Silver Bear prizes. The festival will be held from February 10 to 20 in the German capital.

Now that Dhobi Ghat has made its way to the theaters, we are all look forward to Aamir Khan’s next film. Not very long time ago it was reported that Aamir Khan will be a part of a huge period film being planned by Danny Boyle. It is being dubbed as an East-West collaboration like none before.

Mumbai, May 13 : At a time when filmmakers are splurging money on their movies, Aamir Khan is concerned about the budget of his next production "Delhi Belly". The cost might touch Rs. 25 crore, which the actor-filmmaker feels is high for an adult comedy.

"Its budget is on higher side. It would end somewhere between Rs. 20 to Rs. 25 crore, which doesn't include promotion. I am worried about that. We are trying to keep as low as possible right now," said Aamir.

Mumbai, June 3 : Southern actress Asin Thottumkal describes Bollywood star Aamir Khan as an actor who believes in preparing for his scenes before facing the camera while she calls her "Ready" co-star Salman Khan as spontaneous.

"Salman is spontaneous. You have to be very alert while the camera is running because you don't know what he will come up with and what you will have to do as an appropriate thing. There is not much of a discussion before the shot. So you have to be ready with whatever he throws at you during the shot," Asin told IANS.

Mumbai, June 9 : The latest trailer of "Delhi Belly", to come out July 19, will bring together Aamir and Imran Khan for the first time in a mock-argument over the colourful and lurid content of the adult comedy.

The actor has, however, gone in for an image change this time with the bold "Delhi Belly" that releases this Friday alongside Amitabh Bachchan's "Bbuddah... Hoga Teraa Baap".

Mumbai, June 29 : "Delhi Belly", possibly Aamir Khan's most irreverent film to date, got less flamboyant in language and content.

The most off-colour jokes, gags and dialogues about conception, 'miss conception' and other sexual concerns that Bollywood never conceived, have been toned down in the Hindi version of the film. Dirty words have been downsized, so to speak.

Producer Aamir Khan took a conscious decision to make the Hindi version less risque and offensive. Language in the dubbed Hindi version of the film is far less in-your-face colourful than in the English version.

Mumbai, June 30 : Superstar Aamir Khan, who is set to appear as an 'item boy' in the number "I hate you as I love you" in his production "Delhi Belly", makes it very clear that the song is an integral part of the story and not just a promotional gimmick.

Mumbai, July 7 : "Delhi Belly" has rocked the box office and an overhwlemd Aamir Khan, the producer of the adult comedy, gives maximum credit to writer Akshat Verma and director Abhinay Deo for delivering such an entertaining film.

Aamir enjoyed the public reaction in person by sneaking into different theatres in the city.

"Well, I am very happy to see that people are loving this film so much. I am going from theatre to theatre to see public reaction. It's amazing to see houseful audiences laughing, whistling in the halls," Aamir told reporters at the success bash here Wednesday night.

New Delhi, Aug 27 : Urging social activist Anna Hazare to end his fast, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan on Saturday said he was in favour of a strong Jan Lokpal Bill.

Addressing supporters of Anna Hazare at the Ramlila ground here, Khan said: "We need Anna''s leadership for our struggle. So, I urge him to please end his fast today."

Mumbai, Sep 2 : Actor Imran Khan, who entered Hindi filmdom just three years ago, says he loves the three big Khans of Bollywood - Salman, Aamir and Shah Rukh - for their different qualities that set them apart.

?What has always inspired me about Shah Rukh is the level of energy that he has. Whenever you see him, he is so energetic. That is very attractive to see. You don? t want to take your eyes off such a person,? Imran told IANS.

Mumbai, Sep 10 - In Bollywood, every actor tries his best to reach the top of the ladder and become number one, but according to Aamir Khan, who himself is credited with blockbuster hits like "Ghajini" and "3 Idiots", Salman Khan is presently the number one box office star.

"According to me Salman is ahead of me. In the manner in which his film 'Bodyguard' has got an opening, it has broken all records and today according to me, if there is anyone who is the number one box office star, then that is Salman," said Aamir.

Mumbai, Feb 4 - Kareena Kapoor, who has earlier worked with Aamir Khan and will now be seen with his nephew Imran Khan in "Ek Main Aur Ek Tu", feels Aamir is the maestro of the film industry.

"Aamir's body of work is unbelievable. He is the maestro of the industry and Imran is just starting out. Working with Imran is a lot of fun. I think he is a marvellous actor and I hope we get to work together in the future too," the 31-year-old actress said.
