Two More Maternal Deaths In Jodhpur, Toll Reaches 15In a shocking development, the death toll in the maternity ward casualties in Jodhpur's Umaid hospital reached 15 on Sunday with one more female succumbing to post-delivery bleeding at the intensive care unit of close by MG government hospital.

Another woman lost her live on Saturday and two others are still combating for life with medical doctors terming their condition too serious.

The 20-year-old Morki Devi of Osian near Jodhpur had given birth to a baby in Umaid Hospital a day after she was taken there.

She was kept in the intensive care unit after excessive post-delivery bleeding and was transferred to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital four days back.

Delu (22) from Nepal, who was living in Jodhpur with her hubby, had given birth to a baby in Umaid Hospital on February 21. She lost her life on Sunday.

Like all others sufferers, Delu developed complexities after the birth of her kid at Umaid hospital.

She was transferred to the ICU of MG Hospital after multi organ breakdown on February 26.

Out of the 15 women who lost their lives in the incident, babies of 12 are alive.
