Guwahati, Aug 17 : Two powerful improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were recovered under a railway bridge at Balipara in Assam''s Sonitpur district on Monday.

It was recovered by a joint patrolling team of the State Police and the Assam Rifles.

Later, the IEDs were defused.

Police suspected the bombs were kept by banned National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB).

Another IED was recovered under a bridge at Raja Pukhuri- Dhodar Ali area in Sibsagar district last evening by the 871 Field Regiment of the Army. (ANI)
