American Viewpoint: McCain/Palin Lead Obama/Biden By 24 % Points In Alaska

It appears that Sen. John McCain has played right card by picking Sarah Palin as his running mate; the card is working in Alaska. Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska and the Republican vice presidential nominee, is growing as “Mrs. Popularity”. Well, the popularity of Sarah Palin is surging nationally as well as in Alaska. That’s what the recent Republican Party vs Democratic Party Alaska opinion poll says.
American Viewpoint Alaska poll, conducted on September 2, showed John McCain/Sarah Palin leading Barack Obama/Joe Biden by 24 % points — 57 % to 33 % among the registered voters of Alaska.
The poll showed McCain/Palin leading Obama/Biden 50 % to 37 % among Indies in Alaska. It also showed McCain/Palin leading Obama/Biden 74 % to 18 % among the Alaska voters who say Energy is Top Issue.
On the issue, Who is more qualified, Palin or Obama — the poll showed Obama leading Palin by 1 % point — 31 % to 30 % among the the Alaska voters. In the poll, 56 % Alaskans said McCain’s picking of Palin made them more likely to vote for McCain, but 15 % Alaskans responded other way around.
