Britney Steals MTV Video Awards’ ShowBritney Spears and Chris Brown were among the first to pick up prizes at the MTV Video Awards, in Los Angeles. Spears, who opened the show, bagged two awards for her video 'Piece Of Me', including Best Female Video and Best Pop Video.

She was greeted with a standing ovation from the crowd even before she uttered a word. She returned the favor by keeping her thank-yous concise and simple on both the occasions.

"Thank you so much," she said flatly. "Thank you for all the love."

"I first wanna thank God for blessing me like this," Spears said on winning her first VMA award, then left the stage quickly.

Linkin Park bagged the Best Rock Video award for 'Shadow Of The Day', while Lil Wayne won the award for Best Hip Hop Video for 'Lollipop'.
Pussycat Dolls were awarded with Best Dancing in a Video for 'When I Grow Up' and Best New Artist honours went to Tokio Hotel.
