Clinton Cuts Into Obama’s Delegate Lead

ClintonSen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has abridged Sen. Barack Obama's delegate lead in early returns from Pennsylvania's Democratic Primary; she has won at least 38 delegates, Obama has won at least 34, with 86 still to be awarded.

NBC News predicts 75-65 delegate split in Pennsylvania for Clinton and Obama respectively; 18 delegates are not allocated yet. If that’s true, Obama now leads Clinton by 156 in pledged delegate count: 1,482 to 1,326.

However, Clinton still leads Obama in superdelegate count; Clinton has 262 and Obama has 237 superdelegate. Overall Obama leads Clinton with 1,719-1,588 democratic delegates. The final and official delegate count is not expected until Wednesday.
