New York, July 15: Now, you too can taste the beverage that Harry Potter and his friends drink in the book and film series- with a chef in the U. S having created the fictional Butterbeer in real.
According to the Huffington Post, it took chef Steve Jayson, the vice-president and corporate executive chef at Universal Studios, three years to come up with a recipe for the sweet, magical delight.
The recipe contains no dairy product (meaning no butter), no alcohol and no corn syrup. The mixture has been made with pure sugar only, reports the New York Daily News.
"This was a pretty daunting situation," Jayson said in an interview that he gave during the Wizarding World of Harry Potter's grand opening at the Universal Orlando Resort in Florida back in June 2010.
"We wanted to take what Harry Potter fans had read in the books and seen in the movies and bring it to life."
Company insiders said that it took 15 to 16 tries before finding the perfect blend.
"We experimented with all sorts of flavours. It took a while to get the flavour right where it needed to be," he said, "so it wasn''''t too sweet. That it had this great comfortable feeling going down." (ANI)
