Steve Vander Ark, who wrote the book Harry Potter Lexicon and published it through RDR Books and lost the legal clash to publish the book due to copyright violations, has reportedly written a new book, In Search of Harry Potter.
He traveled throughout the UK visiting all of the areas mentioned in the Harry Potter books in order to get the first hand feel of the places as the book deals with those very places that the author believes to have inspired Jo in her writing of the Harry Potter novels.
J.K. Rowling's agents are now requesting an advance copy of the book to make sure that this book does not have any copyright violations like his first book did. This time he is publishing the book by means of Methuen.
Vander Ark answered the request by saying, "This is my own writing about my own experiences and I can’t imagine there will be any problem with this book.”
“This is a travel book . . . written in full by himself after his travels . . . There is nothing in it that would cause any distress,” said Peter Tummons, the managing director of Methuen.
