In an act of empathy, Jamie Lynn Spears sent a care package of embroidered pink burp cloths to Bristol Palin, the 17-year-old pregnant daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

"It was ordered by phone, and they asked what could be done for under $100. They spent $60 on pink burpcloths," a source told.

Jamie Lynn, 17, engaged to hometown hunk Casey Aldridge, gave birth to Maddie Briann Aldridge in June. Bristol Palin seems to be in similar situation and is set to wed Levi Johnston, the father of her child.

From the color of the gift, it seems that Jamie thinks or perhaps is already sure that Bristol is going to have a girl. Otherwise blue would have been a more prudent choice of color since Bristol has a little five month-old brother.

Bristol is five months pregnant, due in November, and it would not be too far fetched to assume that she might be knowing the sex of her baby and would have revealed it to Jamie.

"She wanted it in pink. I'm assuming the two have spoken, and she knows it's a girl," said a spokesman for Petit Tresor, the West Hollywood shop that took the order.
