John Edwards exits Presidential race

Democratic Presidential candidate John Edwards announced his exit from the race for presidential primary in New Orleans on Wednesday. Mr. Edwards didn’t endorse any of the two major candidates Senator Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.
Mr. John Edwards started his campaign at the same place 13 months earlier. More than 10 thousand supporters gave standing ovation to Mr. Edwards as he announced his exit from Presidential race.
Mr. Edwards was able to gather decent support in Iowa caucus and stood second. In Florida primary, Mr. Edwards finished third. In South Carolina Mr. Barack Obama won with a big margin.
Senator Hillary Clinton released a statement on Wednesday in favor of Mr. Edwards. Mr. Clinton said that John Edwards fought for Americans in need. She further added that
Regarding the support to other Democratic candidates, Mr. Edwards said, “They have both pledged to me that they will make ending poverty central to their campaign for the presidency.”
