John Edwards: I Would Seriously Consider Any Veep Offer Made By Obama

In the middle of theJohn Edwards: I Would Seriously Consider Any Veep Offer Made By Obama controversy about who's going to be the running mate of the Democratic presidential candidate, John Edwards has expressed his willingness.

But Edward's so called willingness is still dicey, because he's already changed his mind on the subject, more than twice.

In January, he straightaway declined the VP slot, but in mid May he privately told aides that he would consider the VP role, if it were offered. Interestingly, two weeks later, he told two different newspapers that he's not open to such offer. And again, yesterday he seems to be completely open to the offer.

According to his latest statement, he's ready to seriously consider anything, Obama asks him to do for country.

Some think that Edward would be a better match with Obama than he ever was with John Kerry. The other name on the Democratic shortlist is Gov. Mike Easley but he might be ruled out because of the lack of foregin policy experience.

However, a couple of area Democratic political consultants consider both of them as a misfit for the position.
