Washington, November 22 : US Senator John McCain tweeted in support of his daughter Meghan McCain as she took up her new job as a paid contributor with MSNBC, appearing on the network's new show `Now with Alex Wagner'.

Moments before she was to appear live her parents took to twitter to drum up support for Meghan.

"Watching my daughter @mccainblogette on MSNBC. I know she's going to be great!" Politico quoted John McCain as saying on twitter.

He again put up a tweet when the show ended after an hour.

"Great job in providing a rational viewpoint on MSNBC today. I'm very proud," he said.

"@McCainBlogette was outstanding on @NowwithAlex on MSNBC. Every day at Noon ET 10 PT. I'm so proud of her!" his wife Cindy McCain tweeted.

Meghan joins the growing list of political daughters with TV gigs, later on twitter she thanked her parents for being `ever supportive and amazing'. (ANI)
