According to the ME polls, Obama has been leading in the state since June, and he has well maintained his lead in the current opinion polls, conducted by Research 2000/Daily Kos, American Research Group, Rasmussen Reports, and Survey USA. Research 2000/Daily Kos' McCain vs Obama ME Poll, conducted from September 8 to September 10, showed Obama leading McCain by 14 % points — 52 % to 38 % among the registered voters of Maine.

American Research Group’s Obama vs McCain ME Poll, conducted from September 8 to September 10, showed Obama leading McCain by 10 % points — 51 % to 41 % among the registered voters of Maine.

Rasmussen Reports’ Obama vs McCain ME Poll, conducted on September 17, showed Obama leading McCain by 4 % points — 50 % to 46 % among the registered voters of Maine. According to the poll, currently, Obama holds a 93.0  % chance of winning Maine’s four Electoral College votes this fall.

Survey USA’s Obama vs McCain ME Poll, conducted from September 22 to September 23, showed Obama leading McCain by 5 % points — 49 % to 44 % among the registered voters of Maine.
