Washington, May 4 : The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has warned computer users to be cautious if they receive any e-mail showing photos or videos of Osama bin-Laden's dead body because it could be `virus'.
This malicious software, or "malware," can embed itself in computers and spread to users' contact lists, infecting the systems of associates, friends, and family members, the FBI has claimed.
Meanwhile, the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) has urged computer users not to open unsolicited (spam) e-mails, including clicking links contained within those messages.
Computer owners must ensure they have up-to-date firewall and anti-virus software running on their machines to detect and deflect malicious software, it warned.
The FBI also warned users not to download download software to view such videos, as these applications could end up crashing down users' systems. (ANI)
