New York, Oct 19 : A man from Washington has been arrested for challenging his teenaged daughter to duel and beating her with a wooden sword.
Freemon Everett Seay, decked out in medieval armour, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault after he beat his daughter with a wooden sword
According to The Olympian newspaper, Seay, of Yelm, allegedly sat on his daughter and beat her with sticks before punishing her with the sword for going to a party without permission.
The police said that the teenager eventually collapsed from exhaustion and was badly bruised, but has not been hospitalised.
"I've never seen anything like this," the New York Daily News quoted Lt. Greg Elwin, Thurston County sheriff, as saying.
The police also said that Seay had been arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault with a deadly weapon and his wife, Julie May Seay, had been arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault with a deadly weapon as an accessory. (ANI)
