On Thursday, Michelle Obama
campaigned, in New Hampshire, together with former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen who is now running for the U.S. senate.
In her campaign, Obama eulogized Hillary Rodham Clinton’s works saying that Clinton is responsible for bringing the concerns of working families in U.S. to the forefront.
“We are closer to this America than ever before, and that's because of an extraordinary woman who's not in this room but she's traveling with my husband tomorrow, and that woman is Hillary Clinton,” she said.
Michelle Obama also heard from women who are struggling to balance their personal and family lives and had to face the challenges arising from expensive child-care, taking care of aging parents and unequal pay for women.
She then explained her husband’s plans of expansion of sick time and paid family leaves, affordable child-care and equal pay for women.
Mrs. Obama said that women all over the country shared similar concerns but preferred to remain silent and struggle for a better life. “But at some point, we have to say, ‘Enough’,” she said.
