John McCain’s lead over Barack Obama in the presidential race in the “Show Me State” appears to be surging – that’s what indicate the current month’s Obama McCain Missouri Polls.

The pre-election opinion polls conducted in Missouri by Rasmussen Reports and Public Policy Polling show McCain’s lead over Obama surging. Missouri has 11 Electoral College votes.

Here’s what the McCain Obama Missouri Polls say —

Rasmussen Reports’ Obama McCain MO Poll, conducted on 7 August, showed McCain leading Obama by 6 % points — 50 % to 44 % among the registered voters of Missouri. According to the poll, McCain currently has 69.9  % chance of winning Missouri’s Eleven Electoral College Votes this fall.

Public Policy Polling’s McCain Obama MO Poll, conducted from Aug 13 to Aug 17, showed McCain’s lead over Obama surging to 10 % points. The poll showed McCain leading Obama 50 % to 40 % among the registered voters of Missouri.
