 Mitt Romney way ahead of GOP candidates in New Hampshire: Poll Washington, July 6: Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney continues to retain a strong lead among Republican presidential candidates in New Hampshire.

According to the latest WMUR Granite State Poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, 35 percent of likely GOP voters in New Hampshire said they would vote for Romney

Representative Michele Bachmann has shot into second place just weeks after announcing her candidature with 12 percent support, the CBS News reports.

Representative Ron Paul and Rudy Giuliani, who secured seven percent votes, were tied for third place.

Texas Governor Rick Perry, who has not yet declared a presidential run, got four percent votes.

As in last week''s Iowa poll, the New Hampshire results suggested Tim Pawlenty''s campaign is still not getting traction. He was tied with Sarah Palin at three percent support.

Despite declaring New Hampshire a must-win state, Jon Huntsman got only two percent votes, tying him with Herman Cain. Newt Gingrich got one percent votes, while Rick Santorum was below one percent.

The poll also asked which Republican candidate, voters would not support under any circumstances.

Palin led with 23 percent, followed by Gingrich at 16 percent and Ron Paul at 12 percent. (ANI)
