Sen. Hillary Clinton was leading in Montana five months ago, but now the “Treasure State” appears to be favoring Sen. Barack Obama, who currently leads Clinton in Montana polls.
Montana is a small primary, but it’s not insignificant. Montana Democratic primary will take place on 3 June. There are 16 delegates at stake in Montana. Here’s what the Montana polls say.
Mason-Dixon’s Montana Poll, conducted between 17 – 19 December, 2007, showed Clinton leading Obama by 12 % points – 29% to 17% among the Montana Democratic primary voters. Clinton would have definitely defeated Obama, if the primary had held five months ago.
But, Mason-Dixon’s Montana Poll, conducted between 19 – 21 May 2008 favors Obama. The poll shows Obama leading Clinton by 17 % points – 52% to 35% among the Montana Democratic primary voters. It indicates a huge victory for Obama.
