MTV To Release Documentary On Britney Spears

MTV To Release Documentary On Britney SpearsA 90-minute documentary film on the life of Britney Spears is being made by MTV, with spotlight on her return to pop-music. The exclusive documentary – “Britney: For the Record” - will be aired on November 30 at 10 p.m., two days before her new album ‘Circus’ is released on December 2 via Jive.

The film presents Britney’s personal stories along with her ‘comeback journey.’ It documents a three-month period of Spears’ life earlier this year, including sessions for album ‘Circus’, and preparations for her appearance on the MTV Video Music Awards.

The documentary also shows how she goes to the recording studio, and the set of her latest single video shoot for ‘Womanizer,’ which premieres Friday on ABC’s “20/20.” There are glimpses of her rehearsals, her hometown in Louisiana, and many more activities related to her comeback.
In fact, an MTV spokesperson says “no topic was off limits” during the interviews. The documentary includes her talking about the struggle to come back, her thoughts, and feelings about all the things she has been through.

Spears said at one point during the interview: “I sit there and I look back and I’m like: ‘I’m a smart person. What the hell was I thinking? I’ve been through a lot in the past two or three years, and there’s a lot that people don’t know.”

Spears told MTV News about her documentary, “I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn’t being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in. This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I’ve been through and where I’m headed.”
