Indiana, North Carolina Polls: Obama Takes A HopSen. Barack Obama appears to be taking a hop after sliding poll numbers in the wake the controversy over his former pastor, articulated a CBS News/New York Times poll released on Sunday. Several of the recent polls in Indiana and North Carolina have favored Obama, after he openly and strongly repudiated his ex-pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

According to the CBS News/New York Times poll, Obama appears to be leading opponent Hillary Clinton by 12 points -- 50 percent to 38 percent among Democratic primary voters.

But, according to Zogby Poll, conducted between 30 April – 1 May in Indiana, Clinton and Obama were tied with 42% democratic vote; according to Zogby Poll, conducted between 1 May - 2 May, Obama got 1 % point lead over Clinton with 43% to 42% democratic vote; And according to Zogby Poll, conducted between 2 May - 3 May, Obama got 2 % points’ lead over Clinton with 43% to 41% democratic vote.

According to Zogby Poll, conducted in North Carolina between 30 April – 1 May, Obama was leading Clinton with 50% to 34% among North Carolina Democratic primary voters; according to Zogby Poll, conducted in North Carolina between 1 May – 2 May, Obama was leading Clinton with 46% to 37%; And, according to Zogby Poll, conducted in North Carolina between 2 May – 3 May, Obama was leading Clinton with 48% to 39% among North Carolina Democratic primary voters.
