 Obama declared in ‘excellent health’ and ‘fit for duty’ by doctor Washington, November 1 : The White House physician has given President Obama a clean bill of health after a physical exam at the White House Medical Unit.

A memo written by Dr Jeffrey Kuhlman, the White House doctor who performed the examination, says that Mr Obama is tobacco free, physically active, eats a healthy diet, stays at a healthy weight and occasionally drinks in moderation, CBS news reported.

He weighed 181.3 lbs, with a heart rate of 67 bpm and body mass index was 23.9 kg/m2, said the memo. His temperature was 97.7 degrees.

The doctor said that Mr Obama was ‘staying health at 50+’ and that ‘all clinical data’ indicates he will remain in excellent health ‘for the duration of his presidency.’

The president''s blood pressure, which was 107/71 mm Hg, was described as ‘normal’, and his cholesterol, at 193 mg/dL, was ‘ideal’.

He was recommended to have his next physical December 2012. (ANI)
