Obama Gearing Up For The Convention

Obama Gearing Up For The Convention Before flying to Chicago, Barack Obama himself approached the traveling press corps to make remarks, something that he hasn’t done in the past ten weeks, although he walked away without entertaining questions.

"I'm very excited about the convention," Obama said on the tarmac before boarding his campaign plane to Chicago. He said he is still in the process of preparing his convention speech, to be delivered on Thursday night, but that he had seen the video of his wife, Michelle. The video will be aired on Monday night before she gives her own address.

Obama added that his speech "may not be as good as the other headliners the first three nights, but hopefully it will make clear the choice the American people will face in November."

Obama also added a few words of praise for his newly selected running mate, calling him "the right man for the job."  In his announcement yesterday, Obama emphasized on Biden's roots in blue-collar Scranton, Pennsylvania. It is very clear that Obama has selected Biden as his running mate in a bid to make inroads.
