Sen. Barack Obama is just 63 steps away from his final victory over Sen. Hillary Clinton – so indicates the current delegate count. Well, Obama just needs 63 more delegates to win the nomination.

Obama won 31 delegates in Oregon and 14 delegates in Kentucky, while Clinton won 21 from Oregon and 37 from Kentucky.

According to the current delegate count, Obama leads Clinton with his total 1963 delegates that include his 1656 pledged delegates and 307 superdelegates. Clinton, on the other hand, lags quite behind. She has total 1780 delegates, which include her 1500 pledged delegates and 280 superdelegates.

There are only 86 remaining delegates. Total 2026 delegates are required to win the Democratic Party’s nomination. Clinton still lacks 246 delegates. Obama will possibly wrap up the race in the first week of June.
